Two major exhibitions mark the centenary of the Russian Revolution; contrasting art, life and culture in Russia before and after the 1917 Revolution.
The exhibition will focus on aspects of Rembrandt’s uses of light and shade. Perhaps the most revered artist of the European tradition, Rembrandt was a supreme communicator and this exhibition will highlight the extraordinary collection of 93 etchings by him held by the castle, combined with a select group of related oil paintings and drawings on loan.
2017 will see the fifth Lavenham Literary Festival, one of the highlights in this year’s schedule will be the return of Tracy Borman, speaking about her latest book, ‘The Private Lives of the Tudors’.
The tremendously popular Bury St Edmunds Christmas Fayre is returningon Thursday 23rd November until Sunday 26th November 2016.
